Admin Sys

When it comes to managing a company’s IT infrastructure, two roles emerge: “sysadmin” and “devops”.

Although the distinction is often thin for SMBs, the sysadmin (system administrator) manages and maintains the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.

The DevOps (Development & Operations), on the other hand, works at the intersection of software development and IT operations to improve the speed and efficiency of software delivery and deployment, often thanks to automation.

I am regularly faced with configuration problems for my clients who lack the necessary expertise, or the time to dedicate to operations that are not their core business, even though their online presence is imperative to the maintenance of their activity.

In this context, I can perform these types of interventions, among others:

  • Installation, configuration, and administration of dedicated or virtual servers under Linux
  • Setting up HTTP servers (Apache, Nginx) and also NodeJS (Javascript)
  • Installation and configuration of databases (Mysql, Mariadb)
  • Compilation and setting of languages: PHP, Python, etc.
  • Installation of images under Docker
  • Creation of advanced shell scripts in Bash and PHP CLI (command line)
  • Automated backups (Cloud / S3)
